Down here in hurricane country these clamps serve a very necessary purpose. These are used to prevent wind and rain damage to items needing to be covered with a tarp. Since gas generators MUST be used from the outside, I use the clips and canvas tarps to keep the generator dry but safe to use. Best used with bungee cords and/or nylon rope.
